Elle d\u00e9m\u00e9nage en Jordanie et enregistre Davit sous un nom musulman. Davit est r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement maltrait\u00e9 par sa nouvelle famille parce qu\u2019il n\u2019est pas l\u2019un des leurs. Devenu adulte, il part \u00e0 la recherche de sa famille d\u2019origine en Syrie. Toutefois celle-ci le rejette \u00e9galement. Apr\u00e8s la mort de sa m\u00e8re, son beau-p\u00e8re le renie \u00e0 son tour. Davit veut comprendre pourquoi les chr\u00e9tiens sont si mal accept\u00e9s. Il commence \u00e0 lire la Bible et trouve ainsi le chemin vers le Seigneur. Il se heurte alors \u00e0 une opposition encore plus forte qu\u2019auparavant.      <\/p><p>Ses demi-fr\u00e8res le frappent \u00e0 coups de poing. Les autorit\u00e9s jordaniennes le menacent d\u2019expulsion. \u00c0 cette \u00e9poque, il est mari\u00e9 et a plusieurs jeunes enfants. \u00c9puis\u00e9 par les coups incessants, il se rend dans une \u00e9glise pour demander de l\u2019aide et finalement il fuit avec sa famille au Liban. L\u2019A\u00c9M a soutenu la famille dans son installation et pay\u00e9 le loyer durant les six premiers mois.       <\/p><p>La Jordanie est consid\u00e9r\u00e9e comme le pays le plus stable du Proche-Orient, mais son \u00e9conomie ne s\u2019est pas encore remise de la pand\u00e9mie de Covid-19. En Jordanie, les chr\u00e9tiens repr\u00e9sentent moins de quatre pour cent de la population. Ils sont g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement appr\u00e9ci\u00e9s et consid\u00e9r\u00e9s comme un \u00e9l\u00e9ment important de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9. La conversion de l\u2019islam au christianisme est cependant strictement interdite et peut entra\u00eener des cons\u00e9quences d\u00e9sastreuses.
