Toutefois, pour de nombreux chr\u00e9tiens du Proche-Orient, cette d\u00e9cision est associ\u00e9e \u00e0 de grandes difficult\u00e9s. Contrairement \u00e0 l\u2019Europe, il n\u2019y a souvent pas de c\u00e9r\u00e9monie civile et religieuse distincte. Il n\u2019existe g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement pas de bureau d\u2019\u00e9tat civil. Alors qu\u2019en Suisse, il est possible d\u2019\u00e9pouser sans probl\u00e8me une personne d\u2019une autre religion, la situation est tr\u00e8s diff\u00e9rente dans ces pays. En effet, le mariage est c\u00e9l\u00e9br\u00e9 devant un dignitaire religieux. Pour les chr\u00e9tiens, il s\u2019agit du pasteur ou du pr\u00eatre, pour les musulmans, de l\u2019imam. Les eccl\u00e9siastiques ne peuvent \u00e9pouser que des adeptes de leur propre religion, voire de leur propre confession. Si, par exemple, deux catholiques veulent se marier, ils se rendent chez un pr\u00eatre et sont mari\u00e9s par lui. Cette union est alors officiellement valable et reconnue par l\u2019\u00c9tat.       <\/p><p>Les chr\u00e9tiens issus de familles musulmanes sont confront\u00e9s \u00e0 un dilemme. En effet, ils ne peuvent g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement pas changer leur appartenance religieuse officielle. Ils resteront donc toujours musulmans sur le papier. Un chr\u00e9tien issu d\u2019une famille musulmane ne peut \u00e9pouser qu\u2019une femme \u00e9galement enregistr\u00e9e comme musulmane. Que fait-il alors? Soit il \u00e9pouse une musulmane et vit sa foi en secret, soit il \u00e9pouse une femme qui vient \u00e9galement d\u2019une famille musulmane et qui s\u2019est convertie au christianisme. Le nombre de ces femmes est cependant tr\u00e8s restreint et la recherche d\u2019une partenaire est donc difficile.      <\/p><p>Ils ne peuvent \u00e9lever leurs enfants dans la foi chr\u00e9tienne qu\u2019en secret, tandis que toute leur famille les \u00e9l\u00e8ve et les forme dans la religion musulmane. En effet, comme eux, les enfants sont \u00e9galement enregistr\u00e9s comme musulmans. Ils doivent suivre des cours de religion islamique \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9cole et seront confront\u00e9s plus tard dans leur vie aux m\u00eames probl\u00e8mes que leurs parents.  <\/p><p>Une autre possibilit\u00e9 est d\u2019\u00e9pouser secr\u00e8tement une femme issue d\u2019une famille officiellement chr\u00e9tienne. Ils doivent d\u2019abord trouver un pasteur qui accepte de les marier. Ils vivent alors ensemble comme un couple mari\u00e9 devant Dieu, alors que, devant l\u2019\u00c9tat et la soci\u00e9t\u00e9, ils ne le sont pas et vivent dans l\u2019adult\u00e8re. Leurs enfants, n\u00e9s hors mariage, auront la vie difficile. \u00c0 cela s\u2019ajoute le fait qu\u2019un musulman a le droit d\u2019\u00e9pouser une femme chr\u00e9tienne, mais que sa religion sera ensuite chang\u00e9e et que ses enfants seront officiellement musulmans. De plus, cela suscite souvent le ressentiment de sa famille. De m\u00eame, une musulmane ne peut \u00e9pouser un chr\u00e9tien que si ce dernier se convertit pr\u00e9alablement \u00e0 l\u2019islam.       <\/p><p>De nombreux chr\u00e9tiens issus de familles musulmanes restent c\u00e9libataires soit parce qu\u2019ils ne trouvent personne qui partage leur foi, soit parce qu\u2019ils ont peur de tous ces probl\u00e8mes. Certains partent se marier \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9tranger, m\u00eame si la reconnaissance dans leur pays d\u2019origine n\u2019est pas toujours garantie par la suite. Ou bien ils d\u00e9m\u00e9nagent compl\u00e8tement \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9tranger pour \u00e9viter toute cette probl\u00e9matique.  <\/p><p>Les jeunes chr\u00e9tiens issus de familles musulmanes sont donc confront\u00e9s \u00e0 des d\u00e9cisions difficiles. Oseront-ils se marier malgr\u00e9 l\u2019interdiction? Leurs enfants devront-ils grandir dans la religion musulmane?
